Keeping It Real Loving Caring Sharing in the Neighborhood Institute Inc. is dedicated to provide housing opportunities to those struggling with poverty in Louisville/Jefferson County Metro. The Community Housing Development Organization ( CHDO ) certificate empowers Keeping It Real to provide housing services to low/moderate income persons living in urban and rural neighborhoods. Keeping it Real is recognized as a nonprofit public charity under section 501 c 3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

The HUD/HOME Partnership Program allows the Neighborhood Institute to engage in housing projects that will strengthen public-private partnerships and expand the supply of decent, safe, sanitary, and affordable housing. The Neighborhood Institute will seek to carry out multi-year housing strategies through acquisition, rehabilitation, and new construction of housing.
